Jeffrey Archer joins the blogosphere

Millionaire author Jeffrey Archer has a blog! The disgraced UK Conservative politcian, who served time for prejury and obstructing the course of justice during his 1987 libel trial with the Daily Star, blogs about art, cricket, writing books and other things here. I was gobsmacked to read the news via Jackie under the very apt title 'There are politicians and there are sleazebuckets and then there's Jeffrey Archer'. Jackie picked up the news from our mutual friend Brian who, like me, is quite amused by the prospect of Archer let loose in the blogsophere. Brian writes: "I think it might be rather fun. Full of both of deliberate entertainment and of unconscious humour and pratfalls of various kinds. He is a dreadful name dropper, but at least he has names to drop. You wouldn’t want your sister to marry him, but as a blogger he might prove to be quite good."

It appears Jeffrey must already be getting a lot of flack, or spam, from fellow bloggers - I found he had deleted quite a few comments when I checked out his comment sections.
